Selling by video call and email across time zones: camera, tone, structure, written follow-up

Ensure your team closes deals remotely and builds strong client trust across time zones.

5 audio modules in three lengths: the whole course takes 50 min as a briefing and 4 h 10 min expanded. Workbook, transcript and sources per module, a recorded multiple-choice questionnaire, a certificate per learner. Written for Sales, BD.

The moment it goes wrong

A poorly executed video call or a confusing follow-up email can halt a promising deal. Clients go silent, misinterpretations cause delays, and your sales team struggles to regain momentum. This directly impacts quarterly revenue targets and wastes valuable selling time.

What changes after this course

After this course, your team will confidently lead video discussions and write clear, persuasive follow-up emails. They will understand how to connect effectively with global clients, regardless of distance or time. You will receive a record of completed training for each participant, documenting their acquired skills.

How long it takes, by who is listening

Nobody spends a day in a classroom. Every module exists in three lengths; a person takes the length their role needs, and every length ends with the same recorded questionnaire, so the training record is complete either way.

What is in the course, module by module

5 modules. Under each title are the three things the listener can do afterwards; the audio itself runs 10 to 50 minutes depending on the length chosen. Each module ends with a multiple-choice questionnaire whose result is recorded per person for your auditor. Your human-resources or quality manager decides what counts as passed and when a level is retaken.

  1. 1Prepare for impactful video calls across different time zones.

    • Choose the optimal time slot for international participants.
    • Configure your camera and lighting for a professional visual presence.
    • Test audio equipment to avoid technical disruptions during the call.
  2. 2Engage clients effectively with professional on-camera presence.

    • Maintain appropriate eye contact with the camera, not the screen.
    • Use body language and gestures to convey confidence and interest.
    • Manage distractions in your background to keep focus on the conversation.
  3. 3Structure your video calls for clear communication and sales success.

    • Develop a clear agenda to guide the discussion and manage time.
    • Practice active listening techniques to understand client needs deeply.
    • Handle questions and objections professionally during the live interaction.
  4. 4Write persuasive follow-up emails that advance the sales process.

    • Summarize key discussion points and agreed-upon next steps clearly.
    • Tailor your message to the client's specific needs and previous conversation.
    • Avoid common email writing mistakes that lead to misinterpretation.
  5. 5Adapt your sales communication for diverse global audiences.

    • Understand cultural nuances that influence communication styles.
    • Choose appropriate language and tone for international correspondence.
    • Manage time zone differences to ensure prompt and respectful replies.
